Noel Jones announces new charity partner in 2020

Noel Jones is thrilled to announce the decision to bring The Big Umbrella on as their official charity partnership.

The new partnership will aim to raise awareness of The Big Umbrella foundation, and also critical funds to ensure the great work undertaken by The Big Umbrella continues to reach those that need it most. Through an ongoing program whereby $35 from each sale made within the Noel Jones company will be donated to The Big Umbrella, the team at Noel Jones is hoping to make a discernible impact.

Noel Jones Chairman Jason Cunningham said: “As a company, we take our corporate responsibility seriously involving ourselves in the local communities which we operate within while also choosing one major charity partner to champion at the same time. After raising $300,000 since 2013 for our last charity partner we are excited to embark on this new journey with The Big Umbrella Foundation”.

Justin Dickinson, Founder and CEO of The Big Umbrella commented “I am thrilled about this new and exciting partnership with Noel Jones and can’t wait to see what the next few years bring working together. I strongly believe a good CSR partnership with aligned values makes all the difference and will provide a great foundation for the longevity needed in any partnership, I know that together we can create real change.”

As a Real Estate Agency the work undertaken by The Big Umbrella felt like a truly worthy cause as The Big Umbrella Foundation is committed to addressing issues impacting on marginalised people, including those affected by human rights abuses, exploitation, forced labour and homelessness.

One of the valuable programs run by The Big Umbrella is ‘A Real Meal.’ With The Big Umbrella describing a Real Meal as “more than providing hot food to the marginalized communities of Melbourne, we aim to create friendships, build trust and give the most important thing one can give… our time. ‘Time Caring’ as we call it – is something that we all so easily take for granted in our busy day to day lives, filled with appointments and friends, but for our friends on the street, the time of day can be the most valuable thing to share with another and equally the one thing that is missed the most.”

Justin Dickinson believes that the new partnership will greatly impact the foundation, and indeed the people who rely on it saying “with the new partnership and support from Noel Jones, I believe that we can double our output of meals each week by the end of 2020. We hope to be serving meals 4/5 nights a week, offering up to almost 1,000 hot healthy meals to vulnerable Australian experiencing food insecurity.”

Noel Jones and The Big Umbrella look forward to the exciting times ahead partnering together.
