Vermont and Vermont South are undoubtedly suburbs that have been developed with a strong family focus in mind. The suburb is also well serviced by a variety of restaurants; the two areas with the highest density are found at Vermont Corner (cnr Boronia and Canterbury Road) and also in the area surrounding the Vermont South Shopping Centre.
