Doug holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Massachusetts, specializing in History, Geography, and Government Studies. He spent 15 years as a junior high and senior high school teacher in Texas, where he worked at an award-winning private school.
Following a career transition after becoming a stay-at-home dad, Doug ventured into hotel and resort management. He gained experience with renowned hospitality brands like Hilton and Marriott in the Boston area. His role included managing Opal Cove Resort in Coffs Harbour, NSW, Australia, and later the Pegasus Apart’ Hotel in the Melbourne CBD. Throughout his career in hospitality, Doug always prioritized guest service and satisfaction.
In 2021, the COVID-19 pandemic prompted another career shift, leading Doug into the world of real estate. He started in reception to familiarize himself with the industry, progressively moving into field services and leasing. As a leasing specialist, Doug achieved considerable success and has now set his sights on further growth in the field, transitioning into property management.
Beyond his professional life, Doug is a father of two children who have grown into accomplished young adults. He has a passion for sports and politics and enjoys quiet weekends dedicated to reading and tending to his plants and flowers. Doug is an avid fan of live sporting events and live music, always eager to participate in these experiences.
