Noel Jones Camberwell Wins Diversity Office of the Year

Noel Jones Camberwell has won Diversity Office of the Year – Metropolitan at the recent Real Estate Business (REB) Women in Real Estate Awards 2019. The award recognises the metropolitan residential office that demonstrated the best balance of gender diversity and commitment to the progression of women within the company.

“At Noel Jones Camberwell the business has a very open mind and approach to gender diversity. All roles within the business are of equal standing and receive equal pay. We currently employee 18 women and 10 men, ranging in age from 17 to 73 years of age” said Noel Jones Camberwell Director, David Gillham.

“The Noel Jones Camberwell team are incredibly proud to have won the Diversity Office of the Year – Metropolitan award at the REB Women in Real Estate Awards. The business is committed to fostering an inclusive culture and continuously looking at ways to offer career progression and career development to women” continued Mr Gillham.

The inaugural Women in Real Estate Awards is dedicated to recognising excellence amongst the industry’s top female real estate professionals. From the most prolific saleswomen to those that deliver excellence in customer service, this new awards program provides leading women across all facets of real estate their chance to shine. The awards are Australia’s first national awards program to recognize the contribution of women in real estate.

REB editor Tim Neary said that the REB Women in Real Estate Awards is an important new initiative. “The awards provide a platform for women in the industry to showcase their talents and be role models for others,” Mr Neary said.

Noel Jones Camberwell were also honoured to have Jacqueline Lacey as finalist for the Mentor of the Year Award, an award that recognises the individual within the Australian real estate market that has shown commitment to training and developing new agents starting out in their real estate career.

“I was very humbled becoming a finalist because all I really do is provide a means for people to grow professionally and personally. I am very proud of the fact that I have given opportunities for many people over the past 15 years to enter the real estate industry and have been able to help them forge a career that suits their skills” said Noel Jones Camberwell Head of Property Management, Jacqueline Lacey.
