Leasing properties during COVID-19

Is Noel Jones still leasing properties?

The Noel Jones team is led by some of Melbourneโ€™s most experienced, well known and dynamic real estate agents, and are well equipped to lease properties in all market conditions. The Noel Jones team will take you through the process of leasing your property step by step, minimising stress, vacancy and ensuring you feel confident with the process during these unprecedented times.

What is the process for routine inspections?
Due to current social distancing restrictions, face-to-face inspections are restricted in some circumstances until further notice. Noel Jones has been working behind the scenes to ensure that despite this, routine inspections can continue remotely over video calls and recently implemented other new technology such as Inspection Express. If you would like further information on this please contact your local Noel Jones expert.

How will you market my rental property in the current market?
Across our 9 offices Noel Jones manages several thousand properties and maintain an extensive tenants database. This access to active tenants will be used to expose your property together with a comprehensive marketing strategy that can be used to market your property, even in current market conditions – with the inclusion of a few imperative adjustments to ensure the health and safety for all:

  • Pre-application is recommended for prospective tenants, and inspections must be booked in advance (including contact details) to ensure minimal contact and correct social distancing is adhered to
  • Video tours can be conducted
  • Virtual Tours are available
  • High quality imagery is recommended to give prospective tenants ample opportunity to โ€œget to know the propertyโ€ prior to viewing it

How do I contact my property manager?
Customer service remains our property managersโ€™ number one priority. As per current guidelines many staff members are working remotely, however remain committed to managing your property and are available via email, phone or video conference.

My tenant has asked for a rent reduction, what now?
At current there is no official advice from the Government regarding rental payments, however it is an ever-evolving situation. Rest assured we are across all updates as and when they are made, and will ensure both our landlords and tenants are protected.
