Family Fun at the Whitehorse Twilight Festival

family fun day

The Noel Jones Twilight Festival went ahead despite rainfall leading into the event. Along with clearing skies appeared a brave ninety or so local residents and children ready to enjoy a night of fun, food and entertainment.

Staff armed with tongs and a hot grill sizzled sausages while others served cold drinks. A coffee van was on hand to keep the caffeine lovers happy (and warm) while children eagerly dodged puddles to ride the slide and bounce on the jumping castle.

During the evening Noel Jones CEO Adam Parrott presentedย Ovarian Cancer Australiaย CEO Jane Hill with a cheque for $100,000. Ovarian Cancer Australia and Noel Jones have worked in partnership for a little over 2 years and Noel Jones donates $50 per house sale to the cause which supports women and families impacted by ovarian cancer and help with critical research initiatives.

Blankets, mats, chairs, pillows and the odd teddy bear appeared as everyone settled down for a screening of The Croods movie at 8.30pm.

Event organiser Matthew Scafidi of Noel Jones Mitcham said gold coins generously donated by attendees raised over $250 which goes toward the work being done by Ovarian Cancer.

Although the weather just prior to the event was disappointing we were pleased to see such a great turnout.ย  We look forward to a bigger and better Twilight Festival next year and continuing our commitment to the local community, he said.
